Mean girl problems

I have a co worker who recently cornered me in a doorway to yell at me after already yelling about me from down the hall to coworkers and stomping up to where I was.

I told her that

I am here for the patients in the building and not for her and that she is not the boss of me and is wasting her breath.

She then did leave the room and never bothered me again.

But now I dread every upcoming shift, what are some other ways to defend yourself against a mean coworker without being mean/aggressive yourself? I am not gonna lie I was scared, I have never been cornered by a coworker

(Bosses and HR are scared of her so going to them is not an option)

On this occasion my hall partner and I were putting people and bed and answering lots of call lights while she sat. Snacks are to be passed between 8-9 and she said she passed hers but we never saw her so I passed liquids and snacks to five of her patients and she was screaming over and over that she told me she had done it and these patients don’t need to eat 24 hours a day and kept repeating I told you I gave out snacks why are you doing it again. As I am in a patients room who is non verbal and feeding them a milk. This is evidence we do not believe anything was passed out because when I opened the fridge it was full.

It sounds like you handled that situation really well !
Many folk when confronted by a loud aggressive person tend to crumble and do or say anything to get them to stop.
But you confronted her behaviour and it seems to have stopped.

sounds like you need to take a shit on her keyboard, to show her who's boss!

@SW-User That ought to put this dispute to rest.

Bake her some cookies with exlax in them. You won't have to worry about her most the shift. I'm just kidding. I hope it gets better.

Nah, what have you done.

People just don’t do things for no reason.

What is she saying to you? Then I can help.
