Thoughts on quitting your job and doing something completely new?

You are not limited to what is taught in schools and colleges. You are limited by what you can imagine and your ability to get there.

Mostly, it is assumed that someone seeking a degree in a particular discipline wants to be an expert in that field. If you are doing charcoal sketches in Mexico for a year and then return to science, you may find yourself dramatically short of the leading edge.

Right. I went to school and am thinking " i dont want to do this my entire life". I've been so deprived. All i want to do is travel.

They mean to conform you to control you. Do what you want. I've been bouncing around and I went to colleg. Nothing beats doing what makes you happy. Just set some money aside in case. Have fun.

It’s actually part of the thought process behind liberal arts colleges in exposing you to different fields of study.

I've done it a few times. I say if you can make it work, go for it.

I did - had to get more schooling though.

Not anytime soon for me.
