Who is your favorite Doctor? Please mention by name not number. We’re not all total geeks. Lol

I’m really digging the first doctor, William Hartnell. [image deleted]

William Hartnell is my favourite. He was the first one I saw back in 1963. Christopher Eccleston is my next favourite.

How about companions? I've got three favourites in that category; Polly (Anneke Wills), Jo Grant (Katy Manning) and Leela (Louise Jameson).

@Bushranger Leila! I have to check to see if that is who I think it is.
The reboot seemed to stress the companions more, and make them more central to the plot imho at least. I think Rose is the ultimate companion and the reason the reboot was successful.

@monte3 Yes, the companions were primarily an audience for the Doctor's "brilliance", with a little bit of input for plot development. The reboot companions seem to be far more involved and central to the story lines.

I know a few people who didn't like Billy Piper as Rose, but I thought she was excellent. Another one that surprised me was Catherine Tate as Donna Noble. In my opinion, one of the more compassionate companions.

@Bushranger Donna was great. Great back story. I would not like anyone who didn’t like Billy Piper. 😊

@Bushranger I saw a poll where Amy Pond came off as the top companion, which is not my choice

@monte3 I think she started out well, but seemed to get just a bit too arrogant in the role. It seemed, to me at least, that she acted as though the show was about her. It was probably an issue with the writers and story runner, but I lost interest in her character. Rory Williams was a better character, I think.

@Bushranger good point.
Great concept with Amy though, 11 is her “imaginary” friend who is actually real. 😊. I lived her and Rory’s wedding show.

@monte3 The early episodes with her were great. The whole concept of the imaginary friend was brilliant and well done. Just a shame they didn't keep some of her innocence throughout her time as a companion. They certainly did with Rory.
