I Believe In Love Lasting a Lifetime

Love Is

Love
Is
A four-letter word
Means the world to me
You are my destiny
From high skies
To ocean depths
From across lands lands
Racing over water bodies
I do not possess the words
To describe my love for you
To explain how it feels
This love
I only know that
Sun, he shines brighter
Water, she flows bluer
Air, it tastes sweeter
Fuller, more completer
Earth feels alive
Under my eager feet
This, this...this
Is our own own love.

I hope you don't mind I share some of mine. Tell me your interpretation...
The River
-Why do I write these words? It's a means of feeling close to you when we are parted, as when we are separated in time as well as distance.
I have come to realize how wealthy I am. The riches are so immense. That's how I feel about this love.
-Sometimes I feel we are running a race. Like the this fast flowing current we are caught up as it speeds towards the waterfall. Yet we pace together, never out distancing always moving and turning at the bend.
-The race continues. You know what I want. I feel you extend yourself reaching and pulling me to you. We're breathless as the river sweeps us on, escalating.
-We climb against the current to feel each others implosion. Not rushing down the Water Fall as it would mean a long climb back.
-Letting go with you is so easy now. I was afraid of you once. Of the unknown feelings you opened in me. I am no more. I didn't know where we were going and perhaps that is still the unanswered question.
-I don't know which side of the embankment we will land upon. It won’t matter. I know as long as I breathe you will be there with me.

I lack the words. I feel this. Thank you so so very much.

@PoetryNEmotion: It began as a mere vision in my head. Many of my poems are birthed in nature. That is how I see the words and feel the motion.
I feel I am fueling my sexual desires with nature acting as it's strength.

I feel like Dorothy as she landed in Oz, when her entire world went from Dull Black and White to exquisite Technicolor.
How can this be you and me? What I have sought, for all my life?
You are my fairy tale. Because sometimes fairy tales like dreams, come true.
I have been called many names over the years. And a fairy tale is but one. Thank you for your welcome. I remain...Poetry. :)

I love your words; this is quite a brilliant writing form. May I ask your inspiration? What helps you knit your words together? ~Carla~
Why thank you from my heart, Carla! I get inspiration from many things. From nature, from a word in a song, from a feeling from listening to music or from being in love and being loved. I can hear images and that is why I strive to endeavour others to feel my words, my images. Knitting words together? I love that expression, girl. Thank you so much! Images are born to words. Words link images and feelings. It is hard to describe. I feel things so deeply...*smiles affectionately at you*

It is normal for me to feel, see, or within some sense, have awareness of nature, to find my words. I have a canal in my back yard. Many breeds of ducks and other fledglings. The colors brighten as they are spooked by a sound or warned by a mate. I am able to transfer that emotion into a poem. Adding the brilliance of color Nature brings to ones uncertainty.
~ Always leave the reader with a little bit of wonder. The need to question their own doubt.

It's amazing how even the most eloquent poets fail to find words powerful enough to express that kind of love.
