Drums and bass from outer space

I've been intrigued with this piece since I first heard it those decades ago.
A very early effort by my man Adrian Sherwood,it foreshadows his use of ambiance and unusual techniques throughout the years to come.Apparently David Roddigan hated this album,as it strayed a bit too far from yard for his liking, but I see it as a wonderful excursion into musical and mental space and a strong statement as to the artistry that was to bring UK dub to the forefront of sonic exploration.

The whole album stands as a cohesive whole and is finally commercially available again after years of rarity and obscurity.

It’s a bit too soft for me. I like the old school raggae/hip hop based heavy beats

@SW-User Fair enough. This is pretty trippy space cadet style stuff-part of why the roots purists were taken aback when it dropped in '78.
In truth I tend to prefer heavier steppas vibes, but this set takes me back to when I was first getting schooled in dub in the late '80's and it holds lots of good hazy memories.
~thanks for listening and commenting.
