Yes, average height of a man is around 5'8" and a half. That's a national average though which doesn't look at race.
White and Black men tend to be taller and have average heights closer to 5'10.
Asian and Hispanic men have heights that are lower.
So, 5'4" is below the national average, because you'd be shorter than most white and black men. But you'd probably be a lot closer in height to average Hispanics and Asians.
