I Want to Share a Story

I have visited a family several times. The husband is a very old man living with his wife in a small house. He is 94 and she is 92. They have got married 74 years. Everyday he asks her: " Honey, do you want to go for a ride to the lake with me?". Everyday she answers: " Certainly".

He is a lucky man. He has both wealth and happiness. At the age of 94, he still has his wife with him and tons of money. They also have successful children who often visit them. When he engaged her 74 years ago, her parents did not agree because her family was rich while he was just an adopted child. He joined in the army and took part in Vietnam war,...to earn money. When he demobilized, he saved enough to start a business. He said, " I want to earn money to take care of my family. I do not care what my wife and children need but I will satisfy them in every ways". The first $20m he earned, he found that he should invest in a Trust fund that ensured his family's living no matter if he was bankrupt. He also opened different trust funds for each of his children and grand children. He is very generous with people around. After doing business for over 70 years, he is still working at home as a habit and do simply things with his wife everyday.

I have known many people earning a lot of money. Some hate women while some consider earning money to prove their talent. Very few people like him consider family as motivation. The common of those people is that they achieve both happiness and wealth with one life partner for years. It can come from something more than love that keeps them persistent to their choices whole their lives.
