Yes my mum walked out on my dad leaving him with 6 kids when I was just 4 weeks old. however we still had full contact with her parents sister & brother, our dad made sure they saw us at least once a year [we lived in Africa they all lived in England]

I never got that luxury. My mom never talked to her side I guess.. idk but never met her or anyone on her side. Still don't even know where her grave is but I guess you can't miss what you never knew right? However, I do find myself going what if.. quiet often.

Loretta78 I am sorry to hear that :/ People who have both parents who get along (not the ones that constantly fight or put their children in the middle of it) are lucky and don't even know it.

@ ThoughtlesslyThinking: I think you can miss what you never knew. I have always missed a father in my life and I still miss it. 😓

I just try not to think about it too much or at all bc it irks me that idk if any of these stories I am hearing about her are true or not.

Just sometimes think maybe a cousin on her side might have my personality and way of thinking and maybe want to hang out. If I tried to look for them I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Don't know where my father is buried or his ashes where put. Just moving forward.
