Baal by Volker Schlondorff starring Rainer Werner Fassbinder is one of those films i can watch an innumerable amount of times, the dialogue is trippy too, no north american release exists yet as far as i know, so lucky are they who have this edition here which has optional english subtitles, but none on the interview, grrrr
Of all the Fassbinder films he didn't direct himself, Baal is by far my fave :)
@SW-User He was such a workaholic too, which was fuelled i think by drugs. One of the great tragic filmmakers. Enjoy it when you get to see it. One more suggestion - if you haven't seen it yet, one of his last - Veronika Voss, how he does it like an homage not just to Billy Wilder's Sunset Boulevard, but to all of cinema in that bygone era is just fantastic *_*
