In honor of all the brave men and women

For all of those who have served, including those who still serve, may we always remember in your honor your many great sacrifices.

Today, Remembrance Day/Veterans Day, I think back to when I was a child so proud to wear a poppy and go watch the parade to commemorate those who lost their lives in World War I and II.

But as I grew older, learned of the Vietnam War and met veterans from that era, Desert Storm and the war in Afghanistan, this day for me meant more than just honoring soldiers in two wars. For me it became a day to honor all soldiers that sacrifice in hopes of keeping their country free.

Whether or not you agree with war, never shun those who fight in it, fight for something they believe in. That is a strength and courage many are critical of but only a few know. So show some respect!

There's no sweeter moment than an hearing a veteran (usually older), reminisce and tell stories, even war days. Especially gathered at an event. DDay is my favorite, at a memorial we have here, but not too many of those will be around much longer. They're so proud.❤️
