I have read and seen both the book and the film, Stephen King's Misery.
How would you have reacted if you had been Paul Sheldon, stuck with your 'number one fan'?

I've not read the book. I think that shot frozen like that makes it obvious it's fake, though at the time and in context it was terrifying!
