I Have Experienced Loss

I wasn't sure where to put this story....I just want to tell everyone to love each other, life is too short to do anything else. At my job two co-workers recently died. Neither of them I knew very well but it still touched my heart that they are gone and left behind families. Both of them were young, both had kids and a spouse. It's the saddest thing to think that this life is unpredictable and can be gone unexpectedly. I think of the children left behind by these people and how I too lost a parent as a child and how hard that was and it pains me to think these kids will grow up without that parent. If you are holding a grudge against someone let it go, if you are bitter from your past move forward and be blessed to be alive, if you are lonely seek the comfort of others. But just remember today is a gift, that is why it is called the present.

This still rings true. I just lost a cousin, he was 32. Left behind a 15 year old daughter. It was the saddest thing, and made me realize how precious family is and that they should be cherished and spent time with. It's too late for him but I can spend time with others, and so I will.

@RedHotCrazyPerson: That is deep as well. Sorry to hear about your cousin.

and if you love someone tell them and keep on telling me, it might be the last thing you say to them

Amen to that. I had a coworker who i knew for a few years. Got hired at the same time. And she died. Was a way on a trip and found out late. I cried because we where very close. And she was way younger then me

@bhatjc: I'm sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is losing someone. That's sad she was so young.

@RedHotCrazyPerson: Yeah. Always makes you rethink about your life and stuff.

Carpe diem indeed. We only go around once on this carousel of life and we have to make the most of every second of that trip. Bitterness and holding long-term grudges will only get you elected President. *sigh*
