I Have Experienced Loss

It seems this week is all about loss.

I received word this morning that my (birth) mother died yesterday. I haven't seen her in 6 years but the weight of loss and sorrow I am feeling is indescribable.

There are so many emotions bound up for the woman who brought me into this word. Mostly sadness. I take comfort in the thought she is now at rest and away from this weary world.
