I Have Something I Want to Say

It's my daughter's second birthday today and lots of our family have forgotten/have decided not to wish her a happy birthday. I'm really trying not to overthink it as this is typical of them, but I can't help worrying how she's going to feel about it when she's older and she's expecting cards and nice messages etc😭

I’m very sorry to hear this. It’s gonna be impossible not to feel hurt by this. Hopefully with the way things are with the world it has been some sort of oversight and it won’t be a normal thing. But if it does persist or even if you wanted to bring it up to them now about how hurt you are by it then do it! Try and fix it before it becomes a thing perhaps

@SAE5W30 what do you mean? In our family birthdays are generally a cause for someone saying happy birthday at least, I'd expect her close family to send their birthday wishes.
