I Have Something I Want to Say

So I just saw a Harry Potter post about how the female characters are badass and don't need saving. It's true, especially for Hermione.

Truthfully though, I think everyone needs saving at one point, be it hero, heroine, villain or even the extras. It doesn't matter if you're the prince, the princess, the dragon or the fairy godmother in the story. Sometimes, you just need a helping hand.

We all need a helping hand, but these characters show strong females.

Recently my daughter was on a school trip in france and she was having problems with another girl. First time abroad without me I was worried how she would cope. So I asked her

"What would Hermione, Lyra, Katniss, Leia do?"

Girls need strong female characters to know that they would not just turn to a man to fix things.
