I Am Fascinated By Space Science

Extraterrestrial Intelligence: In the 1960s physicist Freeman Dyson postulated that advanced energy-hungry civilizations might use huge solar collectors to mine energy from stars. Other physicists have suggested that our first evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence might be in detecting these collectors in much the same way as the Kepler space telescope detects exoplanets.
In the May 2017 issue of Scientific American a possible candidate (Boyajian's Star) is described. Other explanations for the odd behavior of this star are examined, but extraterrestrial intelligence is still in the running. Good reading for my fellow space science fans.

@SomeMichGuy According to a recent Nova program, dust clouds are a more likely explanation for the dimming, but there is no known source yet.🤔
@Cabernetfranc now THAT *is* interesting

@Cabernetfranc Perhaps it's their version of "Pigpen", putting out the cat at night...?

Seriously though, some fascinating thoughts to ponder (during the long journey to find out). Thank you!
