Oh boy do I have someone you need to meet.

I was a devoted Christian for more than 40-years, now I'm Buddhist. This isn't about religion, so let's not go there.

Glad to hear that. Religion will never give you what you need

So sad. I don't care if my life has been meaningless to everyone else. It has meant a lot to me. I have known more good people than bad. I've seen so many changes, good and bad, through the years. I wouldn't ever wish I hadn't lived through it all.
It is up to you to discover what gives your life meaning. Ask yourself what you would cherish the most if you were on your deathbed. That is life reduced to its essence. It may give you a clue to the meaningfulness you feel is lacking.

I do not believe life is meaningless but I am certain that I do not know the meaning of life.

It's God. You are right. Without him life would be empty

You reason there is no God. I get it. It is hard to step out of one's self and look beyond what we see or can prove. Very hard. I choose to believe because to not believe means I am relying on the fallacy of man. Speaking of reason and proof... Have you looked around lately? Let's also not get caught up in our individual belief systems at the moment... We have someone here who is in need of support.

Great word, choice. We all have a choice in what to believe. I think Carissimi, what you need is to look within now. Start fresh with what it means to be you. I would be happy anytime to talk further, God or not. I'm not here to prove anything, I just like to be a friend. It all starts with that

Do you mean it all being meaningless?

Never too late though. Never!
