Most.

One learns to deal with one's own stuff first - get the healing done, and keep on learning, growing and maturing.
The remaining work is to create functional relationships with others around us who are still dysfunctional to varying degrees.

I don't believe majority who say they're broken, are actually broken. Though a few I guess we're the exceptions.

Iv met a lot of broken people but my ex gf is the number 1. She caused me alot if pain but even so i feel sorry for the amount of pain she feels. I wouldnt wish it on anyone.

I don’t refer to people as broken..I’ve known a good few people who are mentally ill and struggle with life generally
In my time as a social worker, I would say very many.
