Aus took the Bronze in halfpipe.

Got to agree, the field on the women's side was not the strongest.

But - Much as I admire real champions like Shaun, I think Hirano was the one who earned the gold.

@BatRinseRepeat I agree, Hirano should have won the gold. Shaun White's final run was spectacular...but he didn't do anything other than recycle his already-well-known tricks. To be honest, I think White was fudged just a little bit to take the gold because it's been pretty obvious how extremely upset he was at not placing during the Sochi Olympics in 2014 and he's been irate and obsessively trying to win gold this year. He's 31, so he's on his way out of the sport, and Hirano is only 10 meaning he'll be around for a lot longer with his entire career ahead of him.
