I Think You Have The Right To Write All You Want To Write
We fell through the cracks long before we had holes in our shoes,
But we didn't fall any further, just trailed in blue.
In the wake of the tail of shooting icy hue, that hewed through black as it flew.
Finding only the husk of the mighty god's arrow, our eyes narrowed
The pain unbearable, in the darkness feeling forsaken and harrowed.
The fire grew low that night, and the long trees growled hungrily, as did our guts.
In the trail of tears, we sought whys, hows, and whats,
And still we crusade forth, more in the dark as we venture for light.
Perhaps it's wiser just to learn to live in the night.
