Crawling, Clawing, Sweating, Eyes focused. Heart beating with a passionate fire that burns low and strong. The spirit has never left me. It's reaching up from the inside, fingers gripping me and pulling me up every time I fall, every time it hurts, every time I remember, every time those thoughts, every time that fear, every time I doubt, every time I want to give up. It's gripping me. I'm biting my lip hard, tears spilling from my eyes and rolling down my dirty dusty cheeks as I drag myself across this ground moving in the direction of this force that pulls me up, pulls me forward. No other choice but backward and I won't go there. I will never ever go there.
