It usually goes in bursts... I've done quite a lot of family research and often months and years of "nothing" are interrupted by a flood of new information... Sometimes it feels as if certain ancestors "want" to be found, while others seem to be eager to hide and never be found... Go figure... Good luck.

@hami1091 I started with nothing more than my grandparent's names (very common names, by the way) when I was a teenager, but little by little (and in great measure thanks to the internet), I've tracked ancestors to the 1600s in both my father and mother sides. It's truly fascinating, get to "know" all these people, and it's crazy to realize I've got DNA from [i]all[/i] of them...!
