I Think Suppressing Or Ignoring Emotion Is Very Unhealthy
This is why I hate when people tell other people what not to post on facebook or call it drama or triggers. Yes, there are triggers and we don't all have the same ones. I was taught in psychology to face the things that upset you, not avoid them. You face them until they lose their power. I use to receive group therapy and what happened when the leaders found that something bothered us? We were exposed to it as much as possible, over and over again until we could accept it has reality. With me it was cursing. So they made us all watch movies with a lot of profanity. That was is 1995, when words like "drama" (unless is was a show) and "trigger" (unless it was a gun)were unheard of. What happened to the world? You're suppose to both accept and work through things - together.
