:Ladies: Have you ever worn a girdle?

cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
It was a thing until pantyhose got popular, think that was 8th grade. Horrible to wear those, they don't breathe....and neither did anyone who wore them.
Hahaha Patti. I know that's right. My mom had several and wore worn to work everyday! She knew how to buy the right fit.lol

@BemyValentine: I hated the fabric on them, didn't matter if they fit they were not comfortable with that type of fabric. We felt free when we got pantyhose but I don't even think I could stand to wear those today.
@cherokeepatti: Oh I know, I can't wear pantyhose anymore I feel I can't breathe. I don't wear dresses either...it's just not me now. I hear ya.
Do Spanx count? If so, then yes 😊

No. I rather wear a garter belt
Yes, on few occasions depending on outfit. They're now called shape wear like: Control top panties & Spanx. They still make girdles and corsets, tho not advertised as much. But women that don't need or wear them, wouldn't know they still make them.lol

Any ladies here over 80 is what you meant, right?

Well. This is embarrassing.

Girdles have been passe for women for a while. These days we might wear Spanx or some other holdy-innie apparatus but not by choice or for long. --DW

@hlpflwthat: lmao silly 😏
[c=#BF0080]No, that went out of style 30 years ago.[/c]
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Actually about 45 years ago.
@cherokeepatti: [c=#BF0080]LOL.. yeah, I figured it had been longer than that.[/c]

@Pinkrainbowkisses: Only crazy or older women wore those after pantyhose came out.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
Twice, yeah. Once was for a Halloween costume and the other was for a disguise.
idk I thought about it tho..
