See what I remember about my interview day of McDonald's..

Ben taught me that there are two different cloths in a cupboard above the bin closest to the tills. Red cloth which is anti bacterial used for table tops, surfaces etc. They have to be replaced every half hour regardless of whether you use them or not. Blue cloths are for table legs, seats etc.

You wait until the bins are three quarters full before you replace them and take them out to the bins outside. Can fit about 16 bags but up to 120 when compressed by the machine. You have to press both buttons on each side for health and safety reasons. Stick up- compressor goes up, stick down- compresser pushes down.

The two meter acknowledgement rule- if a customer comes within two meters and is making eye contact you ask them if you can help them with something.

If a woman comes into the restaurant with kids and infants. Get the infants a high chair and give the kids a colouring book, so it's easier for her to order.

Disabled person comes in offer to bring their meal over to their table.

Wash your hands every half an hour.

There are three fire exits- the main entrance, one on the left hand side of the lobby and one in the kitchen which is usually blocked. Fire alarms are by each exit.

If you struggle just ask a member of staff for help.

Remembered pretty much everything the man said and this was all in the matter of ten minutes in a loud stressful environment.

If they don't pick me, they will have made the wrong decision.

@cherokeepatti: take it all with a pinch of salt Patti. Four days ago he posted a question saying he loves seeing cars with the windows down so he can chuck in his cigarette to burn holes in the seats.

I feel both happy and sorry for you! Sorry because you will be undervalued for pretty much your entire duration spent there... Happy because you managed to get a paying job and you are fine with the circumstances! :)
