Okay: Big question. BIG question.
First off...I feel Ashwin Soode [Sarah McLachlan] needs some love as he is a fairly unobvious choice.
Nick Menza [RIP] formerly of Megadeth. Amazing precision. Shit is [i]tight[/i].
Clive Burr [RIP] formerly of Iron Maiden. Amazing feel. beats the fuck out of the kit.
Lars Ulrich of Metallica - because he beats the FUCK out of the drums. He's a prick, but he's a prick with great feel. Nobody does tom rolls across the kit quite like him.
Who else...ummmmmmmm...Sean Moore of the Manic Street Preachers. Another fairly underrated drummer. He never does half of the stuff he can do, but his drumming on their first album shows off what he is capable of. I admire his restraint.
I'm sure I'm forgett--TOMMY LEE. Tommy Lee of Motley Crue. Speaking of pricks.

honestly I'm gonna use my vote for my drummer back in university.. we had a drummer back then and he sucked ass and we had to replace him, with this amazing amazing guy who was acutally studying drums in conservatoire, and first day of practice he brought many stuff with awesome bells and slowly screwed everything in place and we watched him amazed.. and he entered the part sooo fucking amazingly with double pedal bass drums we couldn't play a note just listened him ahahahha

@Lilymoon Both are long dead. Connie Kay was the drummer for the very successful Modern Jazz Quartet. and passed on in 1994. Gene was a free lance Jazz drummer who would form short lived groups of his own now and again. Odd to see a drummer lead a jazz ensemble. Just like it is off to see Dave Clark leading The Dave Clark Five( Bits and Pieces") and Mick Fleetwood leading a band. Even Charlie Watts has his own band. but all were choosing rock so I choose Jazz. But no live for The Stones??????
