What Is It With The US Postal Office?

When I was a kid, we got our mail delivery at a decent time and there was usually at least a couple of good things during the week.

I am a grownup now, and things are a mess. What used to take three or four days from sender to recipient takes fourteen days - and this is across the city.

I have lived in my second apartment building for over a year, and I notified the Post Office ln plenty of time to change my address. I am still getting mail from my old address with the yellow change of address stickers, or for the person who last lived there (and I never knew him). I received recently a refund check from a utility company meant for someone who lived in the city - again, a stranger - with a change of address sticker attached to it. I remailed it to his current address , and I hope he got it. $179.00 is a lot of money in ANYBODY'S book.

I can send something to my brother (or he to me) across the city, and for a while I was getting back with "NSN" on it, or some other can't-find notice. I borrowed some of his address stickers and used them to mail. Yesterday, I got one back with an "undeliverable" sticker across the address label. I peeled it off and put on a new one and wrote in Magic Marker across the bottom "Do NOT return to sender. Please hand stamp. Mail to -" and drew an arrow pointing to the address.

Let's hope this does it.

@Longpatrol it was screwed up before him. Democrats was fine and had confidence in him until the election was over

@MarineBob People that work there are getting inexcusably lazy. I heard recently that somebody's dog bit a carrier when he was delivering mail. The next day. no one in that postal area got any mail.
