How do you feel about messaging people on here?

I'm always a bit anxious when it comes to answering a PM, because if "life happens" and I suddenly leave the conversation, the person on the other end might get mad and block me. I have a busy life outside of SW and it's never my intention to ghost someone.

I'm all for PM people.

They have to understand the other person has a life and might have things to do. No big deal. If they can't handle it, then that's their problem.

And the person might message a couple of times just to check on, which is cool, just let them know you're busy. If they can't handle that, that's on them.

@SW-User People here are so weird, lol 🤭.

@latinbutterfly they are. What hurts is when they claim to be a "friend" and pull that shit.
I swear, laughing on here is the best way for me to shake things off, and realize it's those that are real are the only ones who matter.
Those who have an agenda, want information about another member, or ask me to talk to someone who blocked them get immediately ghosted.
@SW-User Yes, very well said 🙂.

I've had a lot of private message conversations in chat rooms. I'm used to it, I feel comfortable with it.

If someone who wants to spend time with me can't understand that real life comes before online life and they throw a tantrum. I don't want to know them.
It's not considered ghosting, it's considered getting pulled away from the computer/ website.
It's not under your control.
If that's not understood, that's their problem.

I message people I have established something with normally.

The same way I feel about messaging on any social media platform

I’m fine with it. If the person blocks for that reason then whatever they aren’t worth my time

I only message people I've interacted with on the forum.

That is a dumb reason to block someone.

Rarely will I PM anyone unless I have known them for some time.

Others that PM me I usually reply if it's something substantial.

Saying just hi usually gets no response. It's usually just a catfish or something like one. 😔

New messagers I usually refer them to my about me or a featured post. There's plenty about me on those.
It’s usually a good time 🎉😂

I have friends I like to talk to here. I also have a busy life, so far everyone's been understanding or they ghost me.

If they block you for disappearing during a conversation then they weren’t worth talking to anyway..

My worry is running out of things to say...just like in real in life 😂.

Tell before you go.
@Riemann Being married with 2 kids, that can't always happen 😁.

@latinbutterfly That is a very poor excuse. Think again.

I have a few people I message with casually on here, they are all on my friends list and there’s never been any implied pressure to respond “quickly” with them, just message whatever whenever.
