I read in the papers daily almost now of the military build up in European countries as counter measure to other countries acts of aggression what i would like to hear is peoples opinions is this putin and his aggressive tone or is he just testing the west to see what he can get away with and have we made the situation worse by dancing to putins tune and making these military manoevres

I find it useful to listen to the other side of the story too. I often use an online Russian news channel called RT. It is apparently independent and often gives the other side of the story. Listening only to the western media and politicians is misleading.

@Wraithorn: In reality there are no independent news media in Russia. Medias that criticise Putin and the regime are closed and suppressed, independent and critical journalists are jailed and in some cases murdered.

Basically I don't trust any media outlet totally. It is necessary to listen to both sides of a story though without involving emotion if possible. There is no way I will place my trust in only one media source. They all have ulterior motives.
