Stress??

I've been talking a lot in my sleep lately. I don't think I've ever done this before in my life 馃 I will wake myself up by talking too loud. Last night I vaguely remember waking up saying different names to myself. I don't know who those people were! A few nights ago I woke myself up talking about work. Is it like a sign of stress or something? Do you talk in your sleep?
Yeah, talking & laughing. It wakes me up sometimes. I think its bc youre not sleeping deeply enough.

Agree. More likely just after slipping off to sleep?

Sleep talking, the medical term is 'Somniloquy' It's a type of parasomnia -- an abnormal behavior that takes place during sleep. It's a very common occurrence and is not usually considered a medical problem. Generally, a sleep talker usually doesn't remember anything that's said during sleep; whilst you suggest that you remember talking about work, you might need to be careful what your speaking out loud ... LOL.

If you think about it, most kids at some point in their lives talk in their sleep :)

"Sleep talking may be brought on by stress, depression, sleep deprivation, day-time drowsiness, alcohol, and fever. In many instances sleep talking runs in families, although external factors seem to stimulate the behavior. Sleep talking often occurs concurently with other sleep disorders such as nightmares, confusional arousals, sleep apnea , and REM sleep behavior disorder. In rare cases, adult-onset frequent sleep-talking is associated with a psychiatric disorder or nocturnal seizures. Sleep talking associated with mental or medical illness occurs more commonly in persons over 25 years of age." - Nat'l Sleep Foundation

'confusional arousal' ... hehe

I've had a couple times others say I have said something unintelligible in my sleep - I didn't remember/realize those.

But I've had couple where I blended a dream state and the TV background and my words all together - and woke myself back up with it. Neither of those times was I intentionally going to sleep. I just dozed on the couch.
Only when I had dreams or something bothering me a lot. I think it has to do with some traumatic events that happened previous.

Nothing's happened recently. That's why I'm confused 馃

I don't know if I do. Maybe I should get an "Echo" or a "Siri" or something to listen while I sleep? 馃

Me too. I've been waking from dream conversations, only to realise that I was talking in my sleep..
