Isn't it kind of coincidental that Trump's surprise withdrawal from Syria which blindsided the Pentagon also happens to benefit Russia?

It also gets us out of a war we have no business being in

Kinda coincidental it helps the U.S. too🙄

Except Mattis has determined it won't, because the US will lose the Kurds as an ally forever, not to mention every future alliance will question when the US will abandon them
Heartlander · 80-89, M
No.

For every other country expressing concern for the Kurds, why aren't they sending their soldiers to replace our soldiers as they pull out?

The Turkish hatred for the Kurds should have been addressed years ago. But it wasn't because the US and NATO used Turkey as a buffer from the old Soviet Union and were afraid to offend them by telling them to stop it.

Turkey has also grown from the dark ages to become a more enlightened country over the past 50 years. And that's because of their being open on the west to more enlightened cultures and at least pretending to act more like a European nation than a middle-east nation. Should they start misbehaving now, economic sanctions will send them back to the dark ages, where life in Turkey will more resemble life in Baghdad than life in Athens.

The Iraq invasion by Bush Jr. has caused such a mess that the world is paying for the blunder.

Would it not benefit our troops too? 🤔
