What are your thoughts on Toxic Masculinity?

If someone said I had toxic femininity I'd be insulted, I feel the same way describing men that way.
Some men are assholes, it's not their whole gender which needs national education on the issue.

Personally, I think it's garbage and yet one more thing meant and designed to divide people.

It's a load of crap, it's an attempt to make men feel bad for being men. Like FreeSpirit says, if they were talking about toxic femininity I'd be pissed.

Some people are toxic....including those who try to foist stupid ideas on the rest of us. Masculinity and femininity are not toxic. Hate filled people are.

I voted with my dollars, No more purchasing Gillette products. If I'm toxic, its me, not my masculinity.

It's an attempt by 3rd and 4th wave feminists to make men feel bad about being men and being born male.

It's an attempt to divide. And shame.

I know toxic people that feminine and masculine but I find the term, be it masculinity or femininity to be rubbish!

Of course, it exists, and its not something men need to act like doesn't exist or be upset about. We just need to acknowledge it exists and understand that men societal roles change all the time, society changes all the time. We need to leave the shitty parts behind and move forward with better parts.

It also, not all guys, but even a good guy make have bits of this toxic parts as a part of his personality. Just like a good woman may have bits of something toxic in them. We all have these things.

I think people that spend all day inventing silly words and phrases need to get a life... 🤔

Maybe the phenomenon exists in [i] some[/i] form, but the term is a contrived, politically correct invective.

It's an intersectional nonsense buzzword used to other. Some people are toxic and have toxic behaviours. All do recalls, it has nothing to do with masculinity, femininity, or patriarchy.
Hell some of the so called "toxic masculinity" features are positives like competitiveness and stoicism for example.
