I’m pretty sure you would not be able to tell the difference just looking at it but in most cases, recipes for icing is made to be sweeter.

How it's prepared. Frosting is thick and stays fluffy. Icing is thinner but thicker than glaze. Thicker and heavier than glaze and thinner and less fluffy than frosting.
I think it's the same thing
