Why do some people think opinionated people are rudr?

Unless they were being rude then I see their point. If you ask for their honest opinion and view, they're going to give it to you straight. I tend to be very straightforward and I don't sugarcoat things. I say my opinion when I'm asked. It seems like some people don't like honest and upfront people why is that?

There's nothing wrong with expressing your opinion, especially when asked, but the problem is that a lot of folks don't bother or know how to voice their opinions in a respectful manner. In other words, some opinionated people can be pretty damn rude and it's that rudeness that often annoys people, not necessarily the opinion that is expressed.

@MotherlessDaughter01 I didn't mean to suggest that you are. I'm talking about opinionated people in general and why many are turned off by them. What I said doesn't apply to all individuals who could be described as opinionated.
