What causes Indecisiveness?

The last couple of years I've been having problems making decisions even the smallest of them! I wonder what causes such behavior? And how can I fix it?
A number of causes.... One recent research study is showing Indecisiveness can be a result of working under or living in a high stress environment. This new study out of the UK is showing that continued stress can slowly alter neural pathways resulting in complexities in decision making....
@RadiantRuby Me too! I blame alcohol and other related habits.... However that's all changed I did make a decision to modify my indulgences and it has helped... I now need to go around and apologize to all the people I pissed off over the last 20 years.... Good luck with remedying your situation...
@Majorlatency I did drink alot 2012 to 2017 like binge drinking at long intervals maybe that damaged my brain. I never made the link till you wrote that now
@RadiantRuby Ah ha that could be the case.. However, that would have more than likely damaged your liver.. (The liver can manage that and do a little repair work, to a point) So it's good your binge drinking days are behind you... I'm sure we could share some stories!

oftentimes, it happens when you're presented with too many options. Like when you're standing in the cereal section at the grocery store trying to choose one out of dozens of possibilities...

I think we all experience that at times... When it starts affecting your life it can become a problem though... Maybe overthinking things?
@ozgirl512 The most annoying part is knowing what's right and constantly making wrong choices 😥 like breaking up with my horrible partner and getting back with him.

@RadiantRuby that sounds more like fear of being alone ....
