Would you return their present?

It was a friend of mines birthday today. I told him a week in advance I wasn't able to go down to the bar as I had something to take care of early the next day. He understood and said ok. Looks like he changed his plans and held a later dinner instead. Gee thanks for the lack of invite. Guess you won't be needing your gift after all.

He could have made an effort to have informed you all the same out of friendship.
I mean, using a finger to text you a message doesnt cost much.

@SW-User I had just thought an invite would have been nice especially since it was complete change of plans and time.
