Why do our minds play tricks on us?

Well no one brain is perfect and the brain never stops, so its bound to make a few mistakes.

I think those tricks are just the result of the chemical recipe we were born with seasoned with our reactions to past experiences, both conscious and subconscious. We have to understand what’s gone into it so we can change the flavor but some of it’s just making peace with the basic ingredients.
