Yes, in a way. I think I've been in this place before, feeling like there was no meaning left. All pain is due to unmet expectations and your world collapses when the self-evident truths you believed ran everything turn out to be false. People whose worlds haven't been shattered yet will try to help by chiming in with their feelgood beliefs, but that doesn't actually help, it just isolates you. I think it's better to have someone come in, agree with you it's a shit sandwich and then tell you to make the most of it. It's how victims become survivors
