Yes, folks, I've done it again.

Fractured my ribs again. For those who have never experienced broken ribs it's incredibly painful.
I'm on a slow release opiod patch; called Norspan.
There's nothing that can be done but keep very still for the next few weeks.
My wee furry companion Smudge is encouraging this, she sits on me most of the day and sleeps on me all night, she knows I'm not the best right now.
Do your animals look after you when you're not 100%?
Oh, this is awful! I’ve broken my ribs four times, total. Two times this year. That is the worst pain. Take extra vitamin D-3 each day and your doctor will be so amazed at how your bones will heal a lot faster. Get well soon! 🤗

@LadyGrace Thanks for the tip. I've been trying to sit in the sun to get vitamin D naturally but a supplement sounds like the way to go.
@Cavedweller oh yes. They heal a lot faster. I really feel for you. So sorry this happened to you. I pray you’ll mend fast and stronger than ever. Take care.

@LadyGrace Absolutely will do. Thankyou for your kindness: I can always use some.
How did you manage that?? Sounds awful. I'm glad you've got your kitty to keep you company. And hopefully you find some comfort from us weirdos here on SW. :) Make a quick recovery!

@lovelywarpedlemon Hopefully will do! I live on my own so I have to nursemaid myself. But Smudge is proving to be a dedicated carer. That's her picture on my profile.
@Cavedweller Awww, cutie. :) ♥

That's painful I feel bad for you, this was my last one.[image] I love this picture.
Oh, wow. I need two knee replacements. I refuse to do it. I’ve been bone on bone in both knees for the last 13 years. Still do not walk with a cane. I think that’s pretty good. Especially for my age.@Pitchblue
@LadyGrace I walked with crutches the same day as the operation.
@Pitchblue Yes, a friend of mine did, too. I’m so glad this worked good for you.

Get well soon.

@5thApprentice Cheers. I'm hoping to. ☺
I'm so sorry.i have had cracked ribs and yes it is very painful. My dog loves it when I need to stay in bed for a few days and he does try to make me feel better with a lot of snuggles. I hope you feel better soon.
Cavedweller · 46-50, F
@Mondayschild Thanks. All I can do is just stay put and let the bones knit. What kind of pooch do you have?

Most cats I've owned seemed to sense when something's up. Hope your little friend helps to speed your recovery.
Cavedweller · 46-50, F
@Winterskies She most certainly will. I can feel her rumbling purr throughout my stomach..
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
Yes they sense it. So loyal...

Try to see it on a positive note, you have a good opportunity on reading and educating yourself further 😁
Cavedweller · 46-50, F
@MartinTheFirst That's pretty much my take on the situation.

@LvChris Thanks for the correction. Didn't look right as I typed it.
Hope your day isn't too gruelling!
