Is God the greatest story ever told?

To me, the greatest truth ever told. My reality is not unanimous, and often not considered reality.

Certainly the biggest and most successful fictional novel, Koran is catching up though.

@Mamapolo2016 No one can truly say god does or does not exist but the truth is that the Christian Bible, as well as the other various religious texts really don't stack up to the realities of the modern world and the information that we now possess. If god exists I doubt its entire focus would be on our tiny world. The only reasonable explanation for the bible and others focusing purely on earth is the author was not omnipresent and omnipotent.
In your opinion. Which is a perfectly fine opinion and looks very handsome from some angles.

There is another plausible angle though, that the modern world, also manipulated and distorted by man, does not stack up against the Truth.

Just throwing that out there.@Zygote404
@Zygote404 And for your peace of mind, I hope you don't think scientific fact is eternal either. In our history, scientists, operating by the accepted scientific truth at the time have variously proven the earth is flat, that certain races are inferior, that tomatoes are poisonous, that letting out a sick person's blood is healing.

Pluto used to be a planet, and I understand he may be regaining some stature.

The things we think we know today are just as fluid as the things we used to think we knew, and just as potentially incorrect as religious truths, and for the same reasons. Because love it or hate it, I am a creature of the world I live in and I do not have a thought or reaction that is not subjective. Because life is political and selfish and we seek power and funding, not truth, and that is arguably truer than it has ever been.

I am confident that whether I am here to see it or not there will come a day when science and faith embrace and say, 'What the heck were we arguing about?'

I don't know. The climax is right at the beginning...if there even is one.
