When are you suppose to throw out store bread ?

i dont really finish a bag of bread within 2-3 days its usually there for a week but in the fridge , but by the end of the week i just throw out the remaining , so in the fridge how long will it stay good?

If the bread is not moldy and is still soft, it is still good. Those are the two indicators you should look for. Obviously, the bread will be more firm from the fridge but you can tell when it starts to get dry and stale.

I’m OCD about expiration dates. Probably lasts longer but something in my head says it has to go. 🙄

@LyricalOne 😁 yea me too, but my mom told me "just put it in the fridge it'll last" but got me thinking now

@whateverhappens I don’t put it in the fridge. Never seems as fresh.

It's good to eat until it begins to mold. But it goes stale/hard. Which will be fine for toast or even french toast.
I go by the date...

@Experienced33 good call id look for it on the bags
go by the date, putting in the fridge or freezer makes it last longer but the bread seems weird.
