Hypothetically had you been the US absolute ruler how would YOU have prevented the tragic FL HS shooting? What would you do to prevent a repeat?

Short of putting an airport-style security at the entrance to every school, I don’t know that there’s anything that could be done to guarantee it not happening.

Assuming I adopted the position with enough time to do anything? Maybe make whatever change was needed to force the fbi to follow up on all those reports they got.

The truth is sweeping changes needed to happen before he got that weapon. And the nature of some of them just aren't possible. We have too many guns and people aren't going to give those up. Even if we include any weapon that can easily act like an automatic weapon as assult weapons and ban 3d printed mods (which can't be inforced) and then require people to turn those in. We're still looking at like 200 million guns floating around even if every single person cooperated (which they won't). I'm not saying we shouldn't do anything but it looking rather pointless. The things that could be done won't be, and people will resist, then when it happens again because people refuse to cooperate they'll just point and say it didn't work.
