Why do you feel safe with your house doors locked

slows down whoever is trying to come in so I can be ready for them

i don't. where i live, the thugs will break anything and keep coming back over andover. i even have an alarm system

well, noone can escape me that way

I never lock my door even when I go off
when I am going to be gone a week ,well my dog would be gone then too
so I would lock up then
but I know locks only keep honest people honest
people set on getting in will ,
,but getting out of here might be a problem
my neighbors and I look after each other
you might run into more than you bargained for coming out

Cause no one outside can hear the screams coming from my "fun" dungeon...

I do but everyone locked in there with me dont

Mainly because I live in the city and that way people can’t just walk in with no effort. But I live in a flat with its own locked door inside a building with a main front door. And I trust my neighbors in the other flats in that building. Once I actually left my key in my door and a neighbor knocked and let me know.

Locking my doors doesn't necessarily make me feel any safer, but I don't feel unsafe where I live in the first place

I don't lock my door. I feel safe anyway.

Because it would take about 10 seconds for someone big to break it down, and that gives me 10 seconds to bring my axe from the wall.
