Hmmm. Homophobic parents who are willing to disown their own children.

Didn’t know those still existed.
Serenitree · F
Sad, but yes. They still exist. Some people have only conditional love to offer, and some of the conditions are rather stringent. I always think of Harry Chapin's Cat's in the Cradle.

The parents who refuse to accept their children as they are, will one day look up from a floor after a heart attack and hear these words. "Where were you when I needed your love?"
Serenitree · F
@GreensCornbreadYams Yes yes yes. You're right. I already said so. I said I'm done. But you keep beating the drum of denial. You can't see past your own prejudice, that I'm sure your own god has fully endorsed. Bye bye.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@GreensCornbreadYams You say "no one makes anyone have sex" but you are when you disown. Therefore in order for your acceptance, forcing them to be with someone of a different gender that they don't want to be. Assuming that they'd be sexual with their partner.

In a way you are forcing them to have sex with people they don't want.

You hold "3 masters" and yet used fallacies to compare atrocities which have nothing to do with being LGBT. "Would you accept them if they were rapists?" Plenty of straight people are rapists, it's a false analogy.

Proof you can have a college degree and be stupid. Actually 3 times more stupid since you have 3 Masters.
Serenitree · F
@SatanBurger I had a coworker/supervisor who had several university degrees in different disciplines, including sociology, psychology, and philosophy; and she had no idea that there was a difference between perimeter and parameter, couldn't convert anything from metric to imperial, or vice versa. Guess what! I had no degrees at all, and I was cleaning toilets for the same janitorial company as she was. The only difference being, I got hired by applying for a job. She got her job because her father owned the company.

Education teaches things, but it can't force a person to think beyond their own small discipline.

P.S. I can do conversions.

@SatanBurger I'm going by root words as nerds tend to do.
Serenitree · F
@PennyHenny Yes. A phobia is a fear,,but there are people who fear their own feelings more than they fear the actual homosexuals. This is a topic which has been and will continue to be debated until the world ends.

Homosexual activity isn't unnatural. Check it out. There are few, if any, species with two genders, who don't have homosexual relations with their own kind. I could, if you required it, give you links to studies, but I'm betting you've seen dogs and others doing what comes naturally to them.

What a complete, ignorant cunt-@GreensCornbreadYams
I'm perturbed by the behavior of the remains from a far past that we still meet in 2018. How can anyone disown their own flesh and blood?

I have no words and I need to distract myself from the hatred presented by some members of this support site. What a disgrace.

Most of all I think some people had better been buried in the past together with the dinosaurs. Time for a happy song...

Parents have the right to disagree.

They do not have the right to disown their children.
PennyHenny · F
@Serenitree Disowning is extreme. I'm talking about the claim that there's no right to allow disowning. Legally you can and people do.

The sense of it is up for situation and debate.
Fangirlsarah1996 · 26-30, F
@Serenitree There are people who want control, it's that simple.

Control over nations, or control over who or what you are, it makes no difference, they're still the same kind of people.

The sad thing is the root cause of those people are good things...ambition leads to growth, growth leads to bloating and when situations start to bloat people will step in to control it.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@PennyHenny Well when two people screw and have children they have to consider the possibilities that their child will not be a robot version of themselves. They may have a right to disown their own children sure, but it's not morally right and the rest of us have a right to mock their disgusting behavior.

Out of all the things you could disown someone for:

stealing, raping, murdering, serial killing but the kid likes the same gender?

Oh my fucking God call the police!!!!

Never mind if their good people or not... lols. That's not what matters.. what really matters is which consenting adult they want to screw when they get older.

Derp.

@GreensCornbreadYams And you're so much more mature?

Give me a break.
@LvChris
If you become knowledgeable about the points you try to present you won't look inept.
@Fangirlsarah1996 if you also become knowledgeable you can defend your POV. When you become an adult you will learn that soon enough. Learn what you believe so you don't come across so poorly and describe your opposition as "unknowing Christians". Dont copy @LvChris It is simply amateurish form and you look less than you should!

To be honest, when parents disown their children, I say the kids are better off without them, and it's the parents loss. I have a daughter who has shrunk her world to practically nothing. She's disowned a coupe of her kids,,for reasons she feels are valid. Then she disowned her siblings, and a few months ago, she sent me a text telling me I'm dead to her, then blocked me, so I couldn't even respond. But, she is not dead to me. I love her. I won't ever allow myself to be treated like that again. I may not want her in my daily life, but she will always be welcome in my arms.

@Bipolarbear what if it was your daughter?

@Bipolarbear Well, hopefully you will win an honorary Darwin Award before that happens.

I love my children which means I express my approval and disapproval as I deem right.

Blah, they don't matter. All sex is good sex, as long as it's consensual.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
Yes they do exist and it's sad. I don't think it makes the front page unless you look for it but it's out there. A shame since those types need to be called out. The only reason homophobia exists is because homophobic people convince themselves that LGBT people are less than human. They don't understand what love is.
Heart · 22-25, T
I’ve only seen them online.
I am allergic to labels which "homophobic" possesses the quality of.
It seems to be more of an orientation term.
SW-User
Yes they do. I knew a kid in college that happened to. He was a real nice guy, didn’t deserve it. People were sad for him.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Why do people care what others do in their bedroom? Don’t we have more important things to deal with?
Yes. It's not uncommon.
[c=#BF0080] Yes and so sad and wrong :([/c]
SW-User
Yes. I can’t believe anyone who would disown their child for that reason ever truly loved them, so the child is better off without such a toxic parent. Same for parents who disown children in interracial relationships.

@Emosaur Yeah, I put it backwards.I'll blame the cold making my brain freeze.
Serenitree · F
@PennyHenny Of course, but I was married to my husband, the father of my children, and we still knew making out at the dinner wasn't the thing to do. There is a time and place for everything. The dinner table isn't the place for most of them.
