When you visit your parents do you low-key hope they'll ask you to stay for dinner?
I hope so. They're making mac and cheese and my mom makes it best.

My father died in 1972 when I was in my mid teens-actually slightly past that . I never knew him. Nor him me. My Mother is now 88 and I am NOT expecting her to cook for me. So no. And she was poor. Was a few months old when the stock market crashed and the depression began, she learned as a little girl HOW to make her own noodles. And bread. And soap. ....
