Why does nobody control their kids in a public setting?

Holy shit I can't tell you how many times i had to slam on the brakes at work as to not completely bulldoze these kids whose parents let them run around. I'm afraid I'm going to get sued or fired someday for one of these kids slamming into me while carrying a tray full of hot coffee or soup and it will burn and hurt someone. Who cares if I get burned but if a customer or that kid was to get burned my ass would be thrown into the meat grinder.

It seems like so few parents actually parent their kids anymore. They're just friends to them.

@SW-User They want to be the cool parent and not want to be the bad guy I guess

Because society has made it hard for parents to discipline their kids in public these days. They raise a hand to their kids and someone else is allowed to call CPS. So I think most parents are like "fuck it".

@SW-User True, when I was a kid I used to get spanked all the time in public and nobody said anything. Or at least say that if you can't behave we will never go out in public again until you can

People willing to parent their offspring? You're asking too much.

@JimminyChristmas Way too much

🤔Public places should have certain rules for situations such as that!

@Spitbak Yeah, I'm allowed to smack the hell out of the parents for negligent parenting.

@Spitbak Agreed if other diners are looking irritated, or if they are being a harzard they should be asked to knock it off or leave.
