So these storms raises a question... What do you do when the power goes out?

gather up all my flashlights and LED lights and light them and tea light candles to put in the fireplace. I have a wind-up lantern that I've used to read by. SOmetimes I go to sleep if it's after dinner, another time went out to the sun room and had sandwiches for dinner. Now I have a rocket stove using dry sticks for fuel and can finish cooking my food-if it's not too windy or raining I can do it outside, if it is bad weather I can use a can of Sterno in the rocket stove and cook that way. If it's a long-lasting outage I might have to make a trip to the casino, have comps for a free room, and I can play on the machines for awhile and then go watch TV or use the internet.

Light candles, pour a drink, and read a book.

Listen to the radio.

Hope the battery backups last.
