Why do people get so mad over people using fake photos?

It's not that big of deal. It only becomes a big deal if the person is trying to get money or other physical goods out of you. Let people pretend to be whatever they want to be. If it makes them feel happy for once in their lives why take that away from them? If someone wants to pretend to be someone gorgeous then let them do it. If it is not hurting you then who cares.

I don't think it's that big of a deal either, I mean sure, it's dishonest and sneaky, but if you're not hurting anybody, like not trying to get people to meet you in real life or something, I guess it isn't the worst thing in the world. After all, if there ever was a place for people to be able to pretend to be someone they aren't, it's the web.

I agree, it is the internet, so unless you're planning to meet up, if someone wants to be something else, it's really not an issue. The only time it is, is when it's an old person pretending they're a teen to groom kids.
