Do you think aliens 👽 have internet?

It's possible. The thing about the internet is that it's still reliant on physical systems. Routers, servers, cables, etc. It's a system that is prone to failure if any of those physical systems goes down.

I would like to think that alien communication is more advanced than that. They may have hyper-advanced quantum microchips that have an endless supply of information available for immediate viewing. Maybe they have a centralized supercomputer that records information from ubiquitous surveillance and eliminates the need for uploading anything. Idk, there are lots of possibilities.

Another thing to consider is the involvement of both governments and businesses in the development and spread of the internet. If alien planets have totalitarian governments or monopolistic economies or they live in a complete utopia, a parallel to the internet may have never been developed

I think that if there are aliens out there, their evolution has been pretty similar to ours. There are only a handful planets that can actually support intelligent life, and since they are pretty similar to earth, I doubt aliens will be some weird giant mantis affair. So yes I think they have Internet and dankmemes. Because every proper civilization has dankmemes.

They might not have the same kind of social structure to us and what they see as "memes," that is generational knowledge that spreads in a manner akin to viruses, may not be anything at all like what we see them as in the information age here on Earth. Not to mention they also may have completely different senses, which would give rise to [i]very[/i] different media in general.

You would think they would. If they were able to get here decades ago, looks like anything is possible. But on serpo.org it said the ebens (aliens) lived in mud huts and somewhat primitive
