I Admire Bernie Sanders

I think he would've been a great choice for president and I voted for him in the primaries . It's time to be realistic ... It's not going to happen so it really irked me that some Bernie supporters aren't going to vote for Hilary ... I've thought about this and if I vote third party I'm basically voting for Trump . In my state ,I can't afford to waste my vote and neither can anyone else who lives in either a swing state or blue state . Do not throw votes away . Well, I mean do whatever you want but let's be realistic ...".Murica " is not ready for third party candidates ... And heaven forbid an independent . It really comes down to if you want Trump running your country . Oy vey ... I sure as hell don't ! He's the most unamerican candidate there is . Do you like your freedoms ? I do ! Do you want to keep them ? I sure as hell do .

None of the like to truthfully talk about the money, any time you give something to someone you got to take it away from someone else. Seems like everything I read says we are running out of money, not enough the fund social security and the extra will have to come from somewhere, not enough to fund medicare so the rest will have to come from somewhere, every year it cost more to service the level of debt the country has than the year before because the debt gets bigger every year. I just don't see there is a bunch of extra money out there to pay for what he wants.

Yes, I agree, thanks for saying this. Clearly you see now that the election was rigged from day one. HRC was in, Bernie was just a distraction.

Many Bernie supporters now see it. Many are staying home, others jumping on the Trump train.

The system on both sides is a rigged mess favoring corporate cash and political elites. Bernie had that right. So why not surrender to it like he did? You have to hand it to Republican primary voters. Whether or not you like Trump, he along with Bernie understood how it's rigged. But Republicans denied the establishment and chose the rebel.

I remember in 2000, after dubya lied, cheated, and corrupted the Supreme Court to steal the presidency, someone asked Ralph Nader why, the day before the election, didn't he ask his followers to vote for Gore, giving Gore a clear win. He said it didn't matter who won. We learned better after dubya's horrible bungling of 9/11, but I don't think it matters this time. There's an old saying that you get the government you deserve, and this pitiful broken ignorant country deserves Trump.

I'm dissappointed at the Bernie supporters who will not vote for her ,,, they would rather vote third party and throw votes away which is basically voting for trump as far as I'm concerned .....people have to start really thinking hard here ...about their choices and how that will affect their future ....

I liked a lot of the programs he wanted to support but he never explained the math to me on how it would be paid for.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
I think that is what Hillary said Trump wants to so not what he said. He did say he wants to reform the VA so it works better for the veterans and he did say that he wants to make health care reforms but it will have to come from congress.

I really think Bernie supporters need to vote for her ...if they don't want trump as president . I was disturbed by the display from his supporters last night ...it was rediculous ... ...can I just say ..I love Sarah Silverman ....😊

I would never vote for Trump, but Hillary is a slimy lying piece of human garbage and I won't vote for her, either. No matter who wins--we lose. I'll be voting for The Green Party's Jill Stein. She's a lot like Bernie.

I agree whole heartedly ,Fun . I watched the DNC both nights and both were fantastic . Michelle Obama was phenomal. Such a stark contrast with the RNC .

I think Trump will cause more damage than Hilary...I'm thinking she might be less worse for the country...Liz Warren did a great job last night...said what I've known
Namor69 · 41-45, M
Oh my... sounds like you have everything backwards. Trump is the Nationalist (100% pro-Americana)... Hitllary is the crooked Globalist!
Treethumper · 31-35, M
I voted for him too; he was a once in a lifetime canadiate. Hillary is probably going to lose with all the scandals.
Treethumper · 31-35, M
Yeah, I don't think my vote will count I live in the Bible belt, but I'm going to vote anyway.

I understand hunk ! You do understand that Jill Stein will not win though ? As long as you understand this .

carpediem, but this is not the 1980's. Besides our largest problem is medicare, they did not have to contend with the baby boomer generation ballooning medicare cost in the 1980's. We don not and it will get harder every year. You have to remember when we started out we had 5 people supporting every 1 in retirement, those days are gone and America is no longer the country that makes things, everyone has a piece of the pie now.
Anyone who'd (ever) vote for Trump now didn't really support Bernie Sanders. Trump is a white supremacist, and that's who his supporters are. (And NO, one does not have to be white to be one.)
Treethumper · 31-35, M
It's basically picking your poison. I'm choosing Hillary also.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
Trump does not want to get rid of Medicare, the VA, nor the EPA.

I live in a swing state so I think mine will count ....
Rutterman · 46-50, M
Bravo. Couldn't have said it better myself. 👏 👍
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
Goodnight Bernie, socialism doesn't work.

Sub.. nevertheless if we had growth we would solve problems. We have unacceptable growth levels. That's the point, not baby boomers. Yes costs are higher. You need GROWTH to cover the costs. Understand?
carpediem · 61-69, M
@sub If the economy grew at the levels of the 1980's, there would be money to solve all sorts of debt problems. Reagan had rates in the mid 3% and 4% during his presidency. No so much the past 8 years.

Me too * sigh*

I just don't think I have any other real choice ...especially in my state ....I don't want to waste my vote ...sometimes you gotta vote with your head instead of your heart
SW-User
I get what your saying Hunk .... It's a real shame that we have been reduced to this . I voted for Nader in 2000 I just go back to that and felt that I wasted my vote is all .
SW-User
Trump wants to do away with Medicare , VA, DOA,EPA , oh and let states have a choice to lower the minimum wage if they want to ....
SW-User
I did as well, pat ... I'm sure he had an idea of how to go about that ..At least I think he would've 😳
carpediem · 61-69, M
Bijoux... Trump is many things, but he is no white supremest. LOL.. you're losing it.
SW-User
Ugh ... Can't win either way ...but... I must choose

You are part of this country so you will have to live with Trump as well..I do not understand wishing evil on the place you live because you feel we "deserve" it. Is it not that thinking that got us here in the first place?
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
Thanks for saying this.
